Venera Health ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Venera Health mobile application ("App"). Please read this policy carefully.

1. Our Privacy-First Approach

Venera Health is designed to keep you in control of your data. Here is what that means:

2. Information We Collect

When you use the App, you may provide or generate the following categories of information. All of it is stored locally on your device.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Category What it includes
Personal Information Your name, gender, and date of birth, used to personalize your experience and calculate reference ranges. Stored on your device only.
Health Information Symptoms you report, health-profile questionnaire responses (such as demographics, overall health status, pre-existing conditions, family history, lifestyle factors, stress level, and reproductive health), test results, and biomarker data.
Health Documents Medical documents (images and PDFs) you scan or import for text extraction. Text recognition runs on-device.
Chat Content Messages you send to the in-app health assistant. When Cloud AI is on, your message and a name-stripped summary of your health data are sent to Microsoft (the GPT-4o model on Azure OpenAI) to generate the reply; when it is off, the chat assistant is unavailable.
Cycle & Check-in Logs Any menstrual-cycle entries, daily check-ins, or symptoms you log.

2.2 Information from Apple Health (read-only)

With your permission, the App reads a limited set of metrics from Apple Health (sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, steps, and active energy) to calculate your daily Strain, Recovery, Sleep, and Energy scores. The App reads these metrics on-device and never writes to or modifies your Apple Health data. You can change or revoke this access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software in the App. If you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with aggregate, non-identifying crash and performance reports through its standard App Store analytics. We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history.
